Let’s Jailhouse Rock!
Now in it’s 32nd year, the Parkes Elvis Festival is gearing up to be bigger and better than ever with an action packed four days from January 10 to 14.
There’s so much to see and do whilst enjoying all the festivities of Elvis Festival, including visiting the surrounding townships of Bogan Gate, Peak Hill, Trundle and Tullamore that contribute their unique personality and attractions to create the undeniable appeal of the Parkes region as a wonderful place to visit.
This year’s King-sized program is filled with dozens of Elvis and Jailhouse Rock inspired events. A souvenir program will be available for purchase from Elvis Central, Parkes Visitor Information Centre along with several local retailers.
Forbes is excited to bring back an annual Elvis favourite, the Amazing Forbes Street Breakfast held on Friday 12 January from 7am.
With local food stalls, stacks of entertainment PLUS dance workshops from famed Sydney Swing Katz this is sure to be another great event on the Forbes social calendar and a great way to kick off the Elvis Festival.
Also joining the stage is local talent Georgia Sideris, Paul Sun Duo, and Elvis tribute artists “Shakin’ Rick” and “Ray of Elvis”.
Entry to the Street Breakfast is free, just buy your own brekky!

Forbes Shire Council is a major travel partner offering shuttle buses daily to and from Parkes from January 10-14, you can check out departure times + fees on the Parkes Elvis Festival website.
